Clear Fork's Lind earns first team, five from Richland County land All-Ohio baseball honors (2024)

MANSFIELD — Nate Lind finally got the respect he deserves.

Clear Fork's senior second baseman was named first team All-Ohio in Division II by the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association who got it right after Lind was voted second team All-Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference and second team All-District 9 in Division II.

FIRELANDS CONFERENCE BASEBALL: Crestview's Jarek Ringler named Firelands Conference Baseball Player of the Year

Lind hit .430 with 46 hits, seven doubles, one triple, 18 RBIs and 39 runs scored and also sported a .974 fielding percentage with just two errors all season long. He turned 10 double plays and was the heart and soul of Clear Fork's district championship run.

He was one of three Clear Fork Colts to earn All-Ohio honors. Senior Luke Schlosser and junior Jay Jackson were honorable mentions. Schlosser was a tremendous two-way player hitting .354 with 34 hits, seven doubles, four triples, a home run, 21 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He was also dominant on the mound going 9-1 with a 1.37 earned run average. He piled up an insane 111 strikeouts and allowed just 13 earned runs in 66 ⅔ innings of work.

Jackson led the Colts in hitting with a .455 batting average to go with 46 hits, six doubles, six triples, three home runs, 34 RBIs and 36 runs scored while sporting a .902 fielding percentage at shortstop.

Lexington's Braden Mumaw earned second team All-Ohio honors with a .346 average to go with 28 hits, four doubles, a triple, two home runs, 21 RBIs and 13 runs scored as a standout third baseman.

Ontario's Carter Weaver was also an honorable mention All-Ohioan after hitting .386 with 32 hits, six doubles, three triples, a home run, 26 RBIs and 23 runs scored while also pitching 32 innings and going 3-1 with a save and a 1.75 ERA. He struck out 42 batters and only allowed eight earned runs.
