June Update

Hello band families, I hope you're enjoying some time off and getting excited for the upcoming season! Congratulations to the band on a great performance in the Dublin Memorial Day Parade! The band made the news on several stations, check out this article!

Summer Uniforms

The store has been reopened until Wednesday, June 12th for a final round of summer uniform orders. All freshmen are required to purchase this uniform. Returning members can purchase the uniform with the updated logo, or wear their old uniform.

Band Camp Registration

We are missing about 10 registrations for band camp. If you have yet to register, please visit www.dublinsciotoband.org/bandcamp to register ASAP. Our drill writer is ready to begin his work and we cannot guarantee your child's spot in the show without a completed registration form.

Fees, Uniforms, Needs

Keep an eye on your inbox for our upcoming F.U.N. night! Every member of every grade level and section should attend on their scheduled nights to be fitted for their uniform/shoes, make fee payments, and tie up any other needs for the season. We are also looking for volunteers! We will need help fitting uniforms, collecting fees, and coordinating the event. If you're interested, please email Mr. Doherty (doherty_andy@dublinschools.net.). Upcoming Rehearsals

  • Percussion and Colorguard, be sure to check the calendar for your June sectionals.

  • Full ensemble, our first rehearsal is July 1st, see you then!

May Band Update

Can you believe it's the final week of the 23-24 school year!? A huge congratulations to the bands on an incredible spring concert. What a great night of music!

General

  • Our first marching band practice of the year is on Thursday, May 23rd, 6-8p. There is also a parent meeting for new and returning families during practice from 7-8p. Please plan on attending to learn more about the summer, band camp, and more! There will be ice cream!

End of the School Year

  • Uniform Collection

    • Class of 2024, we are seeking donations for the following items: Green summer uniform, grey summer uniform pants, and marching shoes. If you

    • If you have yet to turn in your uniform, it is a week late. Please bring this in using the instructions from the previous post no later than Monday. If your uniform was returned due to unsatisfactory turn-in condition, please bring that in Monday as well.

    • We will fit all 24-25 band members for uniform bibs next week during class. This will help us get bib orders in with enough time for them to arrive before our first competition. We will fit everyone for a jacket/hat during uniform distribution in the summer.

    • Juniors A-M — Tuesday

    • Juniors N-Z — Wednesday

    • Sophom*ores — Thursday

    • Friday —anyone who hasn't been fitted yet.

  • Memorial Day Parade

    • We have general times for the parade, but are still working on the logistics of the parade itself.

Marching Band 2024

  • Band registration is live! Visit www.dublinsciotoband.org/bandcamp to register for the 2024 season. If you are unable to make your down payment, please contact Mr. Doherty ASAP. He will give you registration numbers. It is crucial that everyone registers by May 24th so that we provide the correct numbers/instrumentation to our drill writer.

  • Summer Uniforms — Returning members do not need to order a new summer uniform. If you need a new size, lost yours, or would like a polo with the new logo, you can order one here. Be sure to use the code "FREEPICKUP" so that you aren't charged for shipping. All orders will be delivered to Scioto and delivered on July 2nd and distributed on July 3rd. All orders must be in by June 6th at midnight to ensure delivery by July 2nd.

  • Summer Schedule — Be sure to provide your work a copy of the summer schedule, available at www.dublinsciotoband.org/calendar. Friendly reminder, work is an unexcused absence.

End of Year Items

  • Uniform Collection

    • Beginning this year, band uniforms will be collected from every band member, 9-12. Uniform collection will run from May 1st to May 8th. Please bring in all required uniform components during this time. Please read the attached document with collection instructions.

  • Marching Band

    • 2024 Marching Band Registration, band camp deposit, summer uniform info, and everything else you need to know to get the season off to a good start will be released on Wednesday, May 1st!

  • Spring Concessions
